Ford Presidential Library June 26, 1976 DORADO BEACH HOTEL POOL REPORT #3 Japanese Prime Minister Takeo Miki arrived by helicopter, touched down on the improvised helipad at 4:22 p.m. Also arriving was Foreign Minister Krichi Miyazawa. Finance Minister Masayoshi Ohira is due later tonight. Miki was greeted by President Ford. They posed for pictures and chatted briefly. Nothing was audible. The President escorted Miki to his villa. At 4:43 Secretary of State Henery Kissinger and Mrs. Kissinger, carrying red roses, touched down at the same helipad. Mr. Kissinger's son, David, was also in the party. Kissinger was greeted by Brent Scowcroft, Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs. He was approached by reporters and when asked about the conference he said it was being held "mainly to review the international situation with a particular emphasis on economics."
