Ford Presidential Library\nFOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE\nJULY 14, 1976\nOffice of the White House Press Secretary\nTHE WHITE HOUSE\nSTATEMENT BY DR. WILLIAM M. LUKASH\nPERSONAL PHYSICIAN TO THE PRESIDENT\nThe President is 63 years old today and completed a six-month interval\nphysical examination this morning in the White House Medical Office. His\nlast complete physical examination was performed on January 27, 1976, at\nBethesda Naval Hospital. The results of the laboratory tests and physical\nexamination today were completely normal and I have found the President to\nbe in excellent health. He has had no complaints during this period other than\nmild discomfort in his knee following periods of prolonged standing. The\nPresident has maintained his physical capacity for working long hours. He\nsleeps very well and continues to follow his diet and weighs between 195 and\n198 pounds. The electrocardiogram was normal and the blood pressure 120\nover 72. His cardiovascular functions remain excellent and he continues with\nhis early morning exercise program and evening swim.\nThe President feels exceptionally fit and is looking forward to continued good\nhealth.\n#\n#\n#"
