EDT\nI want to thank the administration and the\ndiocese. I think the Villa Maria Nursing and Retirement\nHome epitomizes what kinds of opportunities we want for\nall of our older citizens and all of those who are\ndisabled and need the best care and attention.\nHistory judges a nation on how well it takes\ncare of its older people, and the United States of\nAmerica has an obligation to do the maximum because as I\nlook around this room and have the opportunity to say hello\nand to express my best, I know how much all of you and\nyour generation have done to make this country what it is\ntoday.\nSo, those of us and younger generations than\nmyself have a moral obligation to make certain and to\nmake positive that you have wonderful facilities like\nthis and that you have kind people like the nurses and\nthe doctors and the administrators that have a superb\nopportunity to do all they can to help you.\nI promise you that our retirement nursing homes\nwill be expanded, will be made more available because\nwe have a serious moral commitment and obligation to\nmake a better America, as you mature and as you retire,\nand I pledge that to all of you and to all like you.\nGood luck and God bless you.\nEND\n(AT 12:47 P.M.
