Presentation of Credentials
The President: I am delighted to have you here. I am particularly
interested in helping your people. We like to use PL-480 to provide
assistance. I think we consummated an agreement recently.
Siddiqi: We greatly appreciate it. We have had a good crop this year.
The President: What is the principal crop?
Siddiqi: Rice. We have had a very good growing season.
The President: Have you been here before?
Siddiqi: Yes, several times. I am not a professional diplomat.
I am a business man.
The President: I hope you will see much of our country.
