Dear mr. Desident,
On leaving your country, the Queen and I want to ex-
press our gratitude for the hospitality which was bestowed upon
us here, the first token of which was your telephone call on our
arrival at New Haven.
We include in our heartfelt appreciation all the people
in this country who made our stay so useful and pleasant.
We shall remember for a long time this outstanding op-
portunity.
I express to you, Mr. President, on behalf of the Queen
and myself, our best wishes for your and Mrs. Ford's personal
happiness, as well as for the prosperity of the people of the
United States.
Sincerely yours,
Banda
