MITCHELL MANNIN, National Committeeman CHARLOTTE BURKHART, National Committeewoman November 30, 1976 40 MA The Honorable Gerald Ford The President of the United States The White House Washington, D.C. ale DEC DEC Dear Mr. President: are As State Chairman of the Florida Federation of Young Republicans, I want to take this opportunity to convey to you our sincere thanks and appreciation for the job you have done as the President over these past two years. During our recent Quarterly Board meeting held in Clearwater Beach, Florida, we had representatives from 26 different clubs throughout the State which comprised over 1,300 members. The manner in which you carried out your responsibilities while serving in the White House was discussed at great length. The outstanding way in which you brought this country from the low psychological point that it was to restoring faith in the Presidency will never be forgotten. History will show you did a great job under such circumstances. I am employed by U.S. Congressman L.A. "Skip" Bafalis, of the 10th District of Florida as well as the State Chairman of the Y.R.'s. There were many of the Young Republicans here in Florida that worked very hard towards your re-election effort and we would like to take this opportunity to commend you on the stupendous job you did on the campaign trail. Now is the time we must all re-group and work that much harder for the next election. The re-organization must start at the grass roots level. You should consider being one of the Spokesmens for the Republicans and might give some thought to reviving the old "Eve and Charlie" shows. Those programs were telling the other side! Again, Mr. President, accept our thanks for the tremendous job you did while in the White House. You and your entire family can be very proud. WL'Mac" Sincerely, MiPenda W. L.
