President George W. Bush today announced his intention to nominate three individuals and his
nomination of one individual to serve in his administration.
The President intends to nominate Alberto Faustino Trevino to be Assistant Secretary of
Housing and Urban Development for Policy Development and Research. Trevino has served as
the Principal and Managing Director of the Urban Interface Group and Alberto F. Trevino
Advisors, a management firm working in strategic planning, investment analysis, housing and
education, since 1975. He was Vice President of the Walt Disney Company from 1974 to 1975
where he developed strategies and concepts for EPCOT, and from 1973 to 1974, he was
Assistant Secretary of Housing and Urban Development.
The President intends to nominate W. Roy Grizzard to be Assistant Secretary of Labor for
Disability Employment Policy. Grizzard has been Commissioner of the State of Virginia
Department for the Blind and Vision Impaired. From 1987 to 1995, he was Personnel
Administrator for Employee Relations and Special Staffing for Henrico County Public Schools,
and from 1968 to 1987, Grizzard was a teacher and assistant principal with Henrico County
Public Schools. He received a bachelor's degree and Master's degree from Virginia
Commonwealth University and doctorate degree from Nova Southeastern University.
The President intends to nominate Victoria Lipnic to be Assistant Secretary of Labor for the
Employment Standards Administrator. Lipnic has been a professional staff member and Counsel
to the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Education and the Workforce since 2000.
From 1994 to 2000, she was an attorney in the Employment and Labor Law Department of the
U.S. Postal Service, and she was previously an attorney in private practice. From 1984, to 1989,
Lipnic was at the Department of Commerce, first as Special Assistant to the Director of Business
Liaison and then as Special Assistant to the Assistant Secretary for Trade Development. She is a
graduate of Allegheny College and George Mason University Law School.
The President intends to nominate Christopher J. Christie to be United States Attorney for the
District of New Jersey. Christie has been a partner with Dughi, Hewitt and Palatucci of
Cranford, New Jersey since 1987. He is a graduate of the University of Delaware and Seton
Hall University School of Law.

Joined this litigation firm in 1987 as an Associate and was named Partner in 1993. Arcas of
responsibility over the last thirteen years have been diverse.
Spent the first five years as a litigation associate working primarily on medical malpractice
defense and insurance coverage cases. Conducted hundreds of depositions, served and
responded to written discovery on behalf of clients and tried half a dozen cases.
After being named Partner, assumed responsibility for the day-to-day handling of the firm's
representation of The Tobacco Institute in both the private and state litigation against the
tobacco industry in New Jersey. Conducted all depositions in the case, exchanged written
discovery, argued motions and interacted extensively with Covington & Burling, national
counsel for The Tobacco Institute.
In 1992, began the furn's Securities Litigation department and still lead its operation. In the
last eight years we have handled both the prosecution and defense of corporate raiding cases in
the securities industry, represented a Fortune 500 company in bondholder disputes and
handled numerous customer cases for both industry defendants and the customers. Won the
single largest NASD arbitration employee award of the early 1990's when our client was
awarded over $1.7m from a former employer.
In 1993, co-founded the firm's Government Affairs department along with Bill Palatucci. In
the last seven years, the department has gone from ground zero to the 74. ranked NJ law fum
in lobbying revenues. The firm represents clients before the Governor's Office, the State
Legislature, various Executive Branch departments, boards and commissions. We handle both
legislative and regulatory representation. Our representative clients include TIAA/CREF, The
Edison Schools, Hackensack University Medical Center, Level 3 Communications, GPU
Energy and the Securities Industry Association.
Have worked continuously since joining the firm on all appellate matters. Have prepared
briefs and argued before the New Jersey Supreme Court and the New Jersey Superior Court,
Appellate Division, over 75 times.

Personal Biography
Christopher J. Christie's commitment to public service is grounded in his activities as
an attorney, a former elected official, a political activist and an officer in a private,
family philanthropic organization.
In 1987, Chris joined the law firm of Dughi & Hewit in Cranford, NJ. The firm is a
21-attorney operation with offices also servicing southern New Jersey in Marlton.
Chris has been a practicing trial litigator for nearly 14 years. In 1993, he was named a
Partner in the firm. At that time, he officially assumed day-to-day responsibility for
management of the firm's participation in the tobacco and health cases in New Jersey.
Chris also serves as the head of the firm's appellate practice department. In that
capacity Chris has written or supervised the writing of appellate briefs for all the firms
clients in subject areas ranging from education issues to constitutional issues to
products liability and other areas of negligence litigation. Chris has also argued over
75 times before the New Jersey Supreme Court and the Appellate Division of the
New Jersey Superior Court. In addition, Chris established the firm's securities
litigation department and still leads it operation. Chris has personally handled both
the defense and prosecution of corporate raiding cases before the NASD and has
represented a Fortune 500 company in various bondholder disputes. In 1993, Chris
also co-founded the firm's Government Affairs department. The department now
ranks in the top ten of all NJ law firms offering these services. The firm represents
clients such as Edison Schools, Inc., Level 3 Communications, GPU Energy, United

Foundation for SIDS, Daytop Village (New Jersey's largest in-patient drug treatment
facility for adolescents), The Delbarton School (establishing an endowed minority
scholarship program to this all-male Catholic high school) and The University of
Delaware (Mr. Christie's alma mater). The single largest cause supported by the
foundation is the St. Barnabas Medical Center Foundation. Funds donated by The
Christie Family Foundation have been utilized to greatly enhance the equipment and
services provided by the Neurosurgical Department. In addition, in further support
of its emphasis on children, funds from the Christie Family Foundation are currently
supporting a complete renovation of the pediatric wing of this accredited Children's
Hospital located in Livingston, New Jersey.
Chris Christie serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of Daytop Village-NJ,

Catholic Church, is New Jersey's largest in-patient drug treatment facility for
adolescents. Chris was appointed to the Board in January of 1998. He has served as a
legal advisor to the Board, oversecing the reorganization of the facility and its by-laws.
Chris also has served on the organization's finance committee and has been a major
fundraiser for the facility.
After graduating from the University of Delaware with a BA degree, Chris served as
an honorary member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees in his
capacity as A former President of the student body. Chris then graduated in 1987
from Seton Hall University School of Law with a JD degree. While at Seton Hall Law
School, Chris served as the school's representative at the Benton National Moot
Court Competition in Chicago.
Along with his law partner Bill Palatucci, Chris organized and attended the first visits
with then Governor Bush in Austin, Texas of NJ political leaders in January of 1999.
In June of 1999, Chris was appointed Campaign Counsel for Bush for President in
New Jersey. Chris handled the organization and filing of all nominating petitions,
ballot access and position issues and other general election law issues in New Jersey.
Chris also served as a Co-Pioneer of Bush for President with Mr. Palatucci, a member
of the National Finance Committee and a member of the RNC Team 2000.
Chris has been married to Mary Pat Foster for 15 years and they are parents of three
children, Andrew Christic (7 years old), Sarah Anne Christie (5 years old) and Patrick
Christie (6 months old). Chris was bom and raised in New Jersey and now resides in
Mendham, New Jersey with his family.
