HIGHT MANAGER
The President:
We, members of the late First United States Volunteer Cav-
alry, most respectfully would endorse the application of George W.
Detamore for appointment as Receiver of the United States Land Of-
fice at Clayton, New Mexico. Mr. Detamore would be, we believe,
an efficient officer. He was a member of Troop E of our Regiment,
of good record, and was serbously wounded in the fight of July 1,
1898.
Very respectfully,

thanks
