two deams and their wives, several professors and wives and several young faculty men and of course all the library staff. Everybody we asked came and they hung round quite a long time so we felt quite elated over it. Our rooms had just been decorated and we have lots of lovely flowers and by borrowing a few trifles like silver tea pots etc we had a lovely tea table. Louise has been gone since the 21st of August. Of course we miss her but she is having the opportunity of a lifetime in Washington, and being well paid besides so we will have to stand it. Mamma is getting along very well with the work by having a student girl to help some. and we have only seven in the family this year instead of ten. I have not had your writing read yet but I will. I have not seen Mr. O'Brien but once since I came back ax- cept at the tea and then I forgot to take the envelope. He got up a nice little picnic and took me one night since I got back but it must have been enough for awhile as I have not seen him since. I must say that I am not minding it much though. I suppose Agnes is back by now. I am going to write to her soon. Mary wrote me a nice letter since I came home. I think I can leave the library now so I will close. Give my love to your mother and keep a lot for yourself, Affectionately Belly TRUMAR NARA
