BUTTER DIPS Mixed without shortening. Dipped and baked in real butter. Quick and easy as biscuits. they taste like rolls. Melt in oven in 13x9" oblong pan. 1/3 cup butter Remove pan as soon as butter is melted. ( 2 1/4 cups sifted GOLD MEDAL Flour ( 1 tbsp. sugar Sift together ( 3 1/2 tsp. baking powder ( 1 1/2 tsp. salt Add. 1 cup milk Stir slowly with fork until dough TEMPERATURE: 450' (hot oven). just clings together (about 30 strokes). Turn on well floured TIME: Bake 15 to 20 min. board. Roll over to coat with flour. Knead lightly about 10 AMOUNT: 32 Butter Dips. times. Roll out 1/2" thick into a rectangle, 12x8". With floured Cheese Butter Dips: Add knife, cut dough in half length- 1/2 cup grated sharp wise, then crosswise into 16 American cheese to dry strips. Dip each strip in butter ingredients. on both sides and lay close to- gether in two rows in pan. Bake Garlic Butter Dips: Add 1/2 until golden brown. Serve hot. clove garlic, finely minced, to butter before melting. Cinnamon Butter Dips: Sprinkle mixture of 2 tbsp. sugar and 1/2 tsp. cinnamon over Butter Dips before baking. B. C.
