(THE Morning KANSAS CITY STAR)
The Ransas City Time
KANSAS CITY, APRIL 5, 1939-WEDNESDAY-22 PAGES.
THREE FEDERAL ACES.
-
-Kansas City Star Photograph.
Frank Murphy, attorney general of the United States (left), and J. Edgar Hoover, head of the FBI
(right), arrived at the Municipal Air terminal at 3:58 o'clock yesterday afternoon and strode rapidly to a
long, black car which was to take them downtown and on to Leavenworth, Kas., for a brief visit to the
federal prison. Maurice Milligan, United States district attorney here (center), met Murphy and Hoover
at the airport, but someone detained him a moment and Mr. Milligan had to walk fast to get abreast of
his justice department companions. Milligan went to Leavenworth, too, and the three returned last night
to Kansas City
