OCR Page 1 of 2Dear Mr. Secretary:
I refer to your letter of April 12, 1950,
to the President and your conversation of July 27,
1950, with Stephen J. Spingarn about the request
of the Hoey Subcommittee investigating sexual per-
version for information relating to the subject
matter of their investigation in the possession
of the Park Police.
It is suggested that you authorize the
appropriate officials of your Department to
furnish the Hoey Subcommittee with a list of
persons who have been arrested by the Park Police
and convicted on charges of sexual perversion or
who have been arrested by the Park Police and
forfeited collateral on charges of sexual per-
version.
Sincerely yours,
DONALD S. DAWSON

to the President
Hon. Oscar L. Chapman
