It is the Committee's intention to seek support Dr the general principles of American eid to Suropean recovery, and, while we recognize the vital importence of certain specific issues, we de not plan to do. vote ourselves to matters of detail. We have now assembled # competent staff, under Mr. John H. Forgunon, es Resoutive Director, end we have established offices in Room 4416 of the Expire State Building in New York and in the Enterprise Building at 1740 K Street Northwest in Washington, end 1 are beginning to distribute material to the public, copies of which we will send to you upon publication. He here also started as speakers' bureeu, so that those who wish to know about the plans for eiding European recovery may have adequate information with which to sake up their minis. And we have begun to circulate 8 potition to the Congress for the passage of legislation designed, in the light of Secretary of State Marshell's pro- possl, to fulfill the needs of a sound European Recevery Program.
