The French Ambansador called at his request to discuss a
number of subjects. He took occasion to state that his Govern-
ment warmly welcomed the President's Inaugural Address concerning
Point 4, and would be gadd to cooperate fully and to contribute
what it could of French technical knowledge. He said his
Government considered that Foint 4, particularly insofar 8.9
it assisted in the development of Áfricn and other undeveloped
sreas, vould facilitate achievement of the objectives of the
Marshall Plen.
