The Italian Ambassador calle a this morning at
his request to leave with me the attached memoranda
setting forth his Government's latest views in the
disposition of the former Italian Colonies.
I told Tarchiani that our position on this ques-
tion was currently under review, and that we would of
course give full consideration to the Italian Govern-
ment's views.
