Mr. Salden Chapin
I spoke with the President about the position
of Mr. Selden Chapin and recommended that he be

ppointed Ambassador to The Hague. The Prosident
said he ap roved of the suggestion and would adopt
it as soon as he heard from Admiral Loshy, which
he thought would be certainly within a week or ten
days. There is considerable doubt whether Admiril
Leshy's health will ermit him to go to The Hague.
