He distinguished beturean the position taken by than and that taiten by others In the U.S. He brought up the question of whother ox not it would be possible for ne to visit Canada, and I told him that 1 could not egne at the time suggested in November whioh just after the elections. I anid, howevor, that I would like to go very muon and could presunably do It in the second holf of Octobor. Howevor, it was important that the trip have some userul purpose as I could not afford to be away these days for any other resson. The Ambassador said he would chaok again with Ostawa regarding the purpose and would Inform me. The Ganadian Anbassador also brought up the question of the Ohinese Communista being heard by the United Nations. He pointed out that ir the hearing was denied to them it might well rosult in their caso being takon up by India which would be unfortunate, and that in any event it was bettor for then to demonstrate what kind of DECLASSIFIED people E.
