At the Cabinet meeting today Secretary Brannan
mentioned that he felt isolation sentiment vas
mounting rapidly. He had sent over a couple of
letters which he had received on this matter, and
the Secretary said he would look into these letters
and see that they got prompt and helpful ansvers.
The two names mentioned as writers of the letters
were: Vayne Williams (who had recently von an
American Bar Association contest for the best sug-
gestions for preserving peace), and as Dr. Poe, who
à southern farmer - probably one of the farm leaders.
The Secretary would like to know the status
of answers to these letters.
