MEMORANDUM OF CONVERSATION WITH THE PRESIDENT
Item 4. Possible Statement on Position regarding
Withdrawal of Forelgn Troops from Korea.
I reminded the President that General Ridgway had
been urging that this matter be constantly restated at hagh
levels in Washington. I said that we were considering with
the Joint Chiefs recommending to the President that he
make such a statement. He is sympathetle with this
proposal and will do so If we maire that request.
