Oatis Case
Secretary Acheson telephoned Secretary Snyder
to ask whether Secretary Snyder would be willing to
designate someone in the Treasury to discuss with
Mr. Thorp aspects of the Oatis case. Secretary Snyder
said George Willis was the person. He agreed with
Secretary Acheson that the matter should be kept secret.
