-HATIONAL ARCHIVES AND est 1119 October 3, 1952 S/S In the course of a conversation with Mr. Harriman this morning, Mr. Harriman said that Mr. Palmer Hoyt's editorial writers were meeting in Denver sometime after the election and wanted Mr. Acheson to address their group on foreign policy. Mr. Acheson said that both Schuman and Eden would be coming to New York following the ejection and for this reason he was afraid he would not be able to accept the invitation. Mr. Harriman said that although he was merely fulfilling his promise of extending the invitation to the Secretary, if the Secretary could see his way clear to go to Denver, it would be a good thing.
