Dear Mrs. Hobson:
I am very embarrassed to find that I have not
answered your letter of July 27, which came as I was
getting my boss off on vacation and getting ready to
go myself. I looked, but did not find the Rosenau
hand notes in any of the boxes of the May reels.
I just want to check also to be sure tha t no
further transcripts or reels were sent while I was
away; i.c., after those mentioned in your letter of
July 27.
Did you have a vacation? And if so, vas it
a
good one? I stayed at home this year, my plan being
generally to try to have a really good vacation trip
every other year. Since it has been the coolest
summer altogether that I remember, it Was a good one
to pick to stay here.
Sincerely yours,
Mrs. Wilder Hobson,
Secretary to the Director,
The Institute for Advanced Study,
Princeton, New Jersey.
