As I thought would be the case,\nhe has said no citing, no photostating. This\nmay change your plans to come to Washington,\nthough you are still welcome to see the material\nfor your background information.\nSincerely yours,\nU.S. 11\nLIBRARY\nGOVERNMENT\nMr. Peter J. Cornell Avenue,\nChicago, Illinois 60615.\nMr. Scharfman (?) the Ph.D. candidate who came in to look\nat your manuscript and the Princeton Papers is a real leach,\nas you say, and he will be coming back now or in January.\nHe wants to know about citing the Princeton Papers. Our\nfile shows that in 1964 you wrote David McClellan, after\nhaving given him earlierppermission to quote and cite\nPrinceton transcript, that you did not want him to quote\nany more from it, as \"from now on, I reserve all quotations\nof myself to myself.\" I do not see anything specific about citing.\nIn 1963 you wrote Logan that he could refer to the papers\nas \"personal papers,' not, as he had requested \"personal\nmanuscript material. \"\nHe would also like to photostat certain pages, where you\nlay out the reasons (nine, I believe) why the German\nsituation had changed with the Korean war.
