VOICE:
I think there is a real/ difference between the kind of thing Paul mentions,
where they really will stuly a document on the Marshall Plen and write
their storiese Their usual technique on press conf l'erences; but I think
they look at our press conferences as something a.° a game in which you
may get a statement which is controversal, which will lead to other stories..

Knowlend or Taft, or somebody else, and say that the S cretary a: State
has just said thi S, what do you think about that ? And I think they are
always playing for a doub le run when they are interrogating you or the
President at the press conferences. It is rather different when they
are hmdling a major thing lile the white book of Marshall's.
