about a double reciprocating carburetor which was fogged up, and
every kind of something or other, and we would be utterly flummoxed

MR. ACHISSON: Why, it was all diverted. The whole Korean war was financed out
of foreign aid. This is the kind of thing - no reason why he

suddenly we got led into this whole business of lining uo and
voting for the Indians, and suddenly I got twigged to the idea
that you promised old Syngman Rhee that you were going to black-
ball the Indians. Now, if you had told us that at the outset,
we would have had - they wouldn't have applied for membership.
There wouldn't have been any. But you led us into this business,
so that we were all tangled up." Well. this is the kind of thing
that - I hate to be talking about this thing with this damned
record going on, but it is a fact that in the really basic making
