Dear Sir and Brother:
Concerning the symbols appearing on rated orders to
identify materials needed for the A, B, C, E, and Z-2 programs,
let me point out that some of these symbols may be preceded by
the letters "DO", e.g., DO-AZ, DO-C5, etc.
I hope all of the local union people will understand
that the "DO" simply means "Defense Order" and the suffix
indicates. the program in which the material will be used, as
outlined in the material sent you on June 18. (The "DO" prefix
will appear on orders for high alloy material where the steel
FRUMAN,
content is less than 50 percent.)
