WAR DIARY 3nd Bn. August 29th, 1918. Mistya during morning. Battery D camorlaged in new position, ready ror special mission. Artillery quiet during day. Gas attack on rour Boche batteries stamed at 8.00 P.M. Heavy firing on Boche, 5ão rounds per Battery. Battery E shelled with gas. Battery D shelled; 3 horses killed. Only one platoon moved out and baok to old position. Several gas alarms during night. August 30th, 1918. Battery F fired two barrages in the early morning. Three gas alarms given. anemy artillery very active. E and D batteries snelled with HE ana gas shells. No casualties. El D Battery' a remaining two guns movea back to old position. August 3lst, 1918. Artillery quiet again. Weather fair, orders received that the Battalion would move to Kruth. D Battery moved out during night. September lst, 1918 Second Battalion Commander in command of Echelon 3.
