    "ocrText": "ENGINEER, SIGNAL, MEDICAL PROPERTY ACCOUNT\nARTICLES.\nISSUED.\nTUENED IN.\nDATE LINE\n-\nCompass, watch\nField glasses, Type c.\nField glasses, Type EE\nKits, fiag. comb., Inf\nKits, flag, comb., stand-\nard\nKits, flag, Artillery\nSOLDIER's INITIALS\nOFFICER'S INITIALS\nINSTRUCTIONS\n1. When articles of clothing and equipment are issued to an eplisted man they\nwill be entered in the \"issue\" column. with the date of issue entered in figures\n(e. g., 10/30/17) on the date line. The column will be initialed by the witnessing\nofficer and. except in the case of issue of clothing, by the soldier, a line being\ndrawn through each blank spare in the column by the witnessing officer. When\narticles are first issued to an enlisted man the sizes that have been determined\nto be the proper ones will be entered In column headed <<ize.\"\n2. When artic'es are turned in, lost, damaged, or destroyed, they will be en-\ntered in a columo under the beading \"Turned in. and the column completed\nand Initialed by an officer and the soldier as in the case of Issués. The officer\nwho receives the articles turn-d in or enters the articles lost, damaged, or de-\nstroyed on statement of charges will initial the column. (117, 685-687, A. R.)\n8. When an individual equipment record form is filled a new one will be started\nard the old record retained witb the individual clothing slips (Q. M. C. Form No.\n165) pertaining thereto. until the next inspection by an inspector, after which all\nfilled individual equipment records and clothing slips may be destroyed. When a\nnew equipment record is started the number of articles transferred will be en-\ntered in first issue column of new record, and the column initialed as prescribed\nin paragraph 1.\n4. No record will be made of a transaction where an article is turned in and\nreplaced by a like article at the same time.\n5. When a soldier is transferred or detached from his company the word\n<canceled\" will be written in columns showing articles Issued and turned in to\ndate. The articles which the soldier carries with him, or for wbich he is in\ndebted to the United States, will then be entered in the next Issue column, the\ncolumn being initialed by the soldier and witnessing officer, as prescribed in\nparagraph 1. These articles, except clothing and individual mess equipment,\nwill be entered on Form No. 600, A. G. o., as required by paragraph 681-o,\nA. R.
