The following letter of appreciation from the Chief, French Military Mission with the American Army, has just been received; TMy dear General: I have learnod wi th what generosity the 35th Division, responding to the appeal of General Traub, had, on the occasion of Chatotmas, come to the sid of the widows and orphans of the regions of France through which the Division had the occasion to travel in the course of this memorable compaign. Will you be my spokesman to the Officers end Men of your Division, to wermly thank them for their affectionate generosity; this testinonial of sympathy, added to so many others already levished by the American Army, makes more binding the ties of affection which unites us und particularly the 35th Division, and I beg you, my General, to be lieve in my deep gratitude. Officers who had charge of collecting the Division Enter- tainment Fund should turn this in to Lieutenant Myers Division Theatrical Director, immediately. Some uni ts have not remitted their collections. 3. Mr. W. G. Morgan, Y.M.C.Ao representative with the 137t h Infontry has been oppointed the Y.M.Coh. Educationel Secretary for this Division. He will profm these duties as outlined in para- groph 5, General Orders #192, G.H.Q., A.E.F. All school officers may make requests for materials, etc., from Mr. Morgan on his visits of inspection, but any such requests will be confirmed at once in writing to the Division Sohool Officero 4. Pursuant to telephonic instructions from hendquarters, IX Corps, horses will be token from stobles during foir weather and stables permitted to eir and dry out. 5. WAR DIARIES. Referring to perogroph 35, F.S.R. Genral Headquerters Americad has decided: (c) Corps hendquerters will send i ts Wor Diery direct to G.H.C. long with the Diory of the Corps Troops and Divisions.
