CHRISTMAS PARCELS: (AS-w)
The following telegram is quoted for the information and guidance of this
command:
"Paris, Jan. 11, 1919,
C.G., 9th Army Corps, St. Mihiel.
One hundred three. Many Christmas packages have arrived in France for
soldiers who have been transferred to other units since sending home
their Christmas coupon period. These packages will require redirection
to reach the prèsent address of the soldier period. In order to ex-
pedite thoir delivery it is requested you have lists prepared by each
company of the men in your division who have not roccived their Christ-
mas parcel due to change in address period. Those lists should include
only the names of mon transferred to your division since sending home
a Christmas coupon and should bear the full name of the soldier, present
corroct address, including division, regiment and compony period. The
formor address às given on the coupon now on the Christmas parcel should
be added to aid in identification period. On completion of these lists
they should be dispatchod through divis innal headquarters to Central
Post Office comma, Bourges, Departmont of Chor period. Divisional postal
offices should effect delivery of parcels for such transfers as have
occurred within the division period.

II. Paragraphs I, II, III, and IV, idministrative Bulletin No. 9,
Headquarters Second Army, dated January 9, 1919, are quoted for the information
and guidance of this commend:
"I. LEAVES TO PARIS.
"The following telegram from G.H.D., dated January 8, 1919, is
published in connection with Section II, idministrative Bulletin No. 5, C.S.,
these headquarters:
"C.G. 2nd Arniy, Toul.
Number 5003 G-l. Commanding General, * * *
,
inquiries whether our telegram 4941 G-1, prohibits all officers and
soldiers on leave of absence from passing through Paris in order to
reach destination. Officers and soldiers on leave may travel through
Paris if necessary, but will take first train from Paris which leaves
for their destination after the ir arrival.

"II. INFORMATION.
An "Information phone has been installed in the Statistical Section,
Adjutent General's Office. Then inquiring for station of an organization, or where-
abouts of officer or soldier phone TOUL 41.
"III. GARRISON SHOES.
limited number of garrison shoes are on hand, for sale to officers,
at the Sales Commissary.
"IV. CIVILIANS RETURNING TO THEIR HOMB.
All organizations in the devastated area are instructed not to interfor
in any way with civilians retuming to the ir homes. All assistance possible will DE
given to the civilian population when they return and ovory effort will be made to
facilitate their installation.
