The following regulations will be atriotly observed in this command;
(1) Daily inspection of us kitchens, latrines and battery or
pany areas by medioal officers. The Medioal officers assigned to the Bn.
will make the inspections in their respective Battalions, the and Bn.
Medioal officer inoluding the Supply 00 The Surgeon will inspect the Hq.
Co. The system of grading uged at Camp Doniphan will be again inaugurated
and report made to these Hqrs. daily.
(a) An officer will supervise the serving of meals sotually being prea-
ent at each menl. He will enforce the fo llowing:
(a)
The
Washing
of
hands
in
goap
and
water
by
kitchen
per
sonnel
before
handling food.
(b) The cleaning of fingernails of cooka and K.Pa.
(a) That mon wear proper uniforn. There has been a grons laxity in the
enforcement of uniform regulation especially the wearing of Jerkins on
the outside of the uniforns.
(3) Inspection twioe daily of billete by a battery officer, onoe in the
morning and onoe at night. A neat and orderly arrangement of equipment,
Glothing and bedding will be required and maintained throughout the day.
The
blankets
should be folded and placed at the head of the bunk. Especial
oare
will
be
exercised that the men do not pool their bedding and that the
hesd and foot orders are strictly obayed. Eating or having food in the
billets
is
postively
forbidden.
Mess
kits
mat
be
washed
after
each
meal.
Equipment must not be thrown on the floor.
(4) Bn. Commanders will set aside a day for the uso of dubbin on shoes.
All
battery
and
company
officers
will
be
present
and
supervine
the
appli-
cation of same.
(s)
All
blankets
over
the
authorized
allowange
will
be
taken
up
and
turn
in to the Supply Officer who will salvage same.
(6) All officare will correct violations of uniforms regulations on the
spot. The following deficiencies have bean noted. Blouses and overcoats
not buttoned. Jerkins worn on outside of the uniform. Rubber boots vorn
at
all
times
by some men. Cape not properly worn. Unauthorized insignia.
(7) Garbage and manuze will be disposed of in compliance with existing
orders. It has been notad that then holes are dug that they are allowed
to overflow before being covered up. Latriner are not kept in a sanitary
condition.
(a) Personal Equipment. Men are neglecting their personal equipment. A
thorough
inspection
of
personal
equipment
will
be
made
and
all
personal
eg.
uipment found to have been neglected will be put in first olass condition
and offenders punished. In one battery, automatic rifles are rusting
from lack of attention.
(9) Shaving and Hair Outting. Organization Commander a will at onoe 803
that the existing orders on the aubject are rigidly enforced.

15, 1919 at 7:00 P.M. and on Saturday the 18th January at 3:00 P.M.
