The following police regulations are published for the information and compliance of all the troops billeted, permanently or temporarily, or visiting in Commercy, France, or its vicinity. They will be enforced by the 35th Military Police Company Officers of all grades are cautioned as to their re- sponsibility to render to the police, in the performance of their duty, all direct and indirect assistance in their power. REGULATIONS. 1, All enlisted men, except such as may be on duty, will be off the streets by 10:30 o'clock P.M. 2. Enlisted men in cafés at 8:00 b'clock P.M. will promptly leave them at that hour. 3. Neither officers nor enlisted men will enter a house of prostitution nor one occupied by a woman following the calling of a prostitute. 4. The hand salute by officers and enlisted men will be rendered as prescribed in orders from General Head quarters. 5. No loud and profane, vulgar or obscene language will be indulged in on the streets. 6. No nuisance will be committed in the street or in view thereof. 7. Officers and soldiers on the streets will present a neat and soldierly appearance. The cap will be worn by enlisted men in the shape issued, ridge from front to rear, The collar of the 0. D. shirt, when in view, will be worn turned down over the collar of the heavier coat, The service coat and overcoat will be worn buttoned and with collar hooked; the collar of the over- coat will not be turned up unless the weather is very cold and then will be completely so. The raincoat will be worn hooked, its collar will not be turned up unless it is raining or snowing, it may th en be turned up but must be completely so. Sniral outtees will be properly put on. Shoes will be clean. Rubber boots being provided for use on certain duties, will not be worn unless those duties are being performed. Jerkins will be worn under the cover of the coat, overcoat, or raincoat. 8, The conduct and appearance of officers and enlisted men on the streets will at all times be orderly and creditable to the service.
