A competition will be instituted in the Regiment between all organizations based on inspections to be made by the Regimental Commander or his representatives. 2. The organizati on cons 1 dered to have the highest standing will be published in orders and al though not actually carrying them, will be considered as the Color Company and entitled to garry theme This priviloge will extend over a period of two weeks at the end of which time a new announcement will be made of the winning a: ganizations for that peri Ode 3. Insrection will not be made at any 5 tated interval but may take place at any time. Inspection in ranis, however, will be made on six hours notice or mor èe Billets, ki tchens latrinos, billeting areas or of the men no t e uipped or under arms may be made at any time. 4. The following are the points upon vh ich inspections will be based, Inspection In Ranks. (a) Cleanliness individuals : Face, Hands, Uniform, Hai 3.- trimmed or no to Shaved or unshaven. Equipmon : Belt, Pack carrier and pack, canteen, first aid pouches, Gas masks, Arms if any, (b) Equipment: Adjustment Pack, Bel to Canteon, First Aid Pacicet, Ges mask, Neatness of assemblin equipment, sho rtage of árticles. (c) Steadiness: Bearing in ranks, position of soldier. Steadiness of head, body ayes, etc. Training Execution of novements of di smoun ted drill, salutes, smartness of bearing, promptitude in as juning attention under proper circunstances, alertness, general bearing and appearance of mon and o ficers as to soldiorly bear ing condition and wearing of clothing, shoes, caps, etc. Billets: Interior cleanliness, orierly arrangement of equipment and bunks, condition of clothing and equipment arrangemen ts for comfort of moze Kitchens: Cleanliness of equipment, range, utensils, etc. stororooms: method of arrange- ment for noatness and proper proservation of supplies, disposal of refuse 45 Proparation and conservation of the rations, cleanliness of eating places and surroundin 3, cleanliness of cooks. Latrines: Olemliness and sanitation, location, dare. Surroundings of billets: Gleanliness, improvement, measures for comfort of men. 5. In case the regiment is formed for reviews or parades oither here or in the United States, the organization winning the honor the greatest number of times between thi 3 date and then will actually carry the colors dur ing such formation.
