To Commanding Officer lst Battalion, 139th F. A.
TO Commanding Offioer, 2nd Battalion, 139th F. A.

" You, are directed to instruct the Acting Town Majors of your Bettalion
to make a list in conjunction with the French Representative in each
town, either the French TO Major or French Mayor, of all French
Government property of every description which is in each town. when
this list is completed it should be signed by the U.S.Town Major and the
French Representative and held by the U.S.Officer
When you leave a village the Acting Town Major should at onoe
take this list in conjunction with the French Representative and check W
up all the French Gov rnment property. He should then take fro m the
French Representative a receipt for such property. This list should be
made at once."
