    "ocrText": "- 4 -\n107th Division (third-class)\n35th Austro-Hungarian Division\n195th Division (second-class)\n5th Landwehr Division (fourth-class)\n88th Division (third-class)\n31st Division (third-class)\n123rd Division (third-cless)\n255th Pivision (fourth-class\n(c) Comment on Enemy Units:\n5th Guard Division - This division which appears to be in pose\nition for counter attacking in the AIRE valley, is one of the best\nif not the very best of the seven Guard Divisions. However, it has\narrived direct from two weeks of intermittent hard fighting in the\nLAON region, where it was last identified in line on September 17th.\nAccordingly it must be in a greatly weakened condition. This is\nthe same division which was hastily put in line near BELLEU Wood in\nJune, in the attempt to force American troops back.\n5th Bavarian Reserve Division - This division which is reported as\nexpected to arrive in support on the west bank of the MEUSE is a\nsecond-class division which has rested 61 days, after being exhaus-\nted in line of the CAMBRAI front in July. It has rested in ALSACE,\nrecently left there, and has been twice reported within 10 days as\nin the CAMBRAI-ST, QUENTIN region.\n7th Reserve Division - This is a second-class division, recruited\nin Prussian Saxony, which has taken an active part as an attack\ndivision this year. It comes from the SOISSONS front, with only\nthree weeks rest. Based on statements of prisoners captured today,\nit appears to be clear that the division is still in a weakened\ncondition, and entered the line on the VERDUN front eight days ago\nin order to obtain rest and reconstitution in a quiet sector.\n(d) Situation of Enemy Reserves:\nTo counter attack tomorrow the enemy is considered to have\navailable, in addition to divisions identified in line today:\n53rd Reserve Division - Presumed to be in ARGONNE, but not located\nsince relieved in VARENNES sector on September 16th.\n5th Guard Division - Localized in counter attack position in AIRE\nValley, by captured order.\n37th Division - Doubtful. It has not been identified since it was\nrelieved in AVOCOURT sector September 12th, and circulation has\nindicated it may have gone to east of MEUSE.\n115th Pivision - Relieved on west bank of MEUSE September 18th, but\nsome elements are still in line and division must be in vicinity."
