Vory quiet. Noticoshis decrease in artillery activity from previcus
clay throughout sector. Slight incr ease in activity of Hachine Gun in s/s
DERAMEL. Othervise normal.

Ne known change.

ENEMY INFANTRY.
Intermittant machino gun fire. Slightly increase in s/s DERAMEE and
vicinity of MANHEULLES. En emy continues to be alert and somewhat nervous.

ENEMY ARTILLERY.
s/s BOULE reports 70 Cal. 77 on MESNIL and vicinity and 20 Cal. 77 in
BONZEE.
s/s DERAMEE. Ne activity.
s/s TAVANNES. 50 Cal. 105 in vichnity of Fort de SOUVILLE, 39 Cal. 105
46 Cal. 77 in vicinity of P.C. CHEVERT, 30 Cal. 105 in vicinity of Fert de
vaux, 60 Cal. 77 and 11 Cal. 105 on ridge roads just north of EIX, with a f ew
shells on EIX, 7 sholls Cal. 105 on VERDUN.
Total of shells en s/s: 137 Cal. 105 and 106 Cal. 77.
Total of shells over entire sector, 196 Cal. 77 and 137 Cal. 105.
During the past week the FROLEZEY and HOUTECOURT groups have been much
more active than the batteries in the herleVille group. Batteries active at
tie fellewing points heretofore not reported: U-19.98, T-35.81 and T-97.76.

Usual flares during night. At 13:15h smoke apparently from moving train
seen at point, U-15.83. Sounds similiar to report of shotguns heard in forests
opposite our soctor. At 13:16h column of black smoke seen in HAUTECOURT, U-15.83.
