Artillery repair trucks, artillery supply trucks, and light ropair truck, provided for the maintenance of the artillery and motor transportation of the Division may be turned in at Souhesmes if desired. If those vohicles are thought to be necessary until the disposal of the motor transport of the Division, they may be retained for the overlend march, as directed in peragraph 5 of the instructions from the Chief of staff, Second Army. the crtillery harness on hand in the Division may also be turned in at Souhesmes at the same time as the artillery. While the instructions contained in the letter referred to state that this harness will be boxed or socked, if thi S cannot be followed out it will be satisfoctory to have the harness well tied up with twine or rope, one set to a bundle. The harness should be thoroughly cleaned and , oiled either before departure for or after arrival at Souhesmes. Referring to the cleaning and greesing of the trectors and ertillery meterial preparatory for shipment and storage, itis suggested that this be delayed until after crrival at Souhe sme s. 2. Machine guns, automatic rifles, pistols, 37 mm. equipment, 3" Stokes equipment, etc. in excess of those to be carried by the troops, and machine gun carts, machine gun fire control equipment, and eii other accessories, should be turned in to the Machine Gun and Small Arms Conter at Void. Artillery fire control equipment, personal equipment in excess of thrt carried by the troops, and dl other miscelleneous ordnance not provided for above, should be turned in at Souhesmes. J. K.
