MAILING OF POST CARDS
The fo llowing telegram is published for the information
and compliance of all concerned;

Number Y 293. Many organization commanders have failed to
comply with instructions contained in Goneral Orders fifteen
and eighteen, C.S., these Headquarters, which require officers
and soldiers to mail card to next of kin in the United States
showing date, writers station. Subordinate commanders to
expedite and report action taken.

Commanding Officers will at once take steps to insure
the prompt obedience of the orders referred to . The report
required to be made by organi zation commanders will be forwarded
to these Headquarters.
