A day is from midnight to\nmidnight.\nIn case of artillery using a variable charge,\nthe quantity of charges of each number will\nbe entered separately, the number being writ-\nten in the \" Remarks\" column.\nThe gun book must always go with the gun\nwhen it is sent to the Repair Shop or trans-\nferred to another Battery, etc. Therefore each\nBattery on receiving a gun whether new or not,\nmust insist on receiving at the same time the\ncorresponding gun book. The inscriptions on\nthe 1st page are to be filled in immediately\nwhenever the gun is transferred to another\nBattery.\nEach time the gun is sent to a Repair Shop,\nthe Commanding Officer of the Shop is to sum\nup the total of rounds fired, as well as note in\nRemarks Column anything observed bearing on\nthe condition of the gun.
