Add the following: An\naccurate account of all equipment, including clothing, issued to the enlisted\nman, will be kept by the battery, troop, company, or detachment commander\non Form No. 637, A. G. O., individual equipment record. (C. A. R. No. 65, Dec.\n20, 1917.)\n[400.3501, A. G. O.]\n681-0. When an enlisted man is transferred or detached from his company\nor detachment, receipts for the articles of personal equipment or other public\nproperty, except clothing and individual mess equipment, which he carries\nwith him or for which he is indebted to the United States at the time, will be\nprepared in duplicate on Form No. 600, A. G. O., and signed by the company\nor detachment commander as receiving officer, a separate set being prepared\nfor each supply department concerned. The articles entered on receipt, in-\ncluding missing articles, will correspond to the articles shown on individual\nequipment record. The name of the accountable officer and the name and\ndestination of the soldier will be shown on the receipts. The duplicate receipts\nwill constitute the vouchers on which the accountable officer will drop from\nhis return the articles enumerated. The accountable officer will forward, im-\nmediately in the case of ordnance equipment and with the return in other cases,\none copy of the duplicate receipt to the chief of the bureau to which the prop-\nerty pertains, keeping the other for file with the retained copy of his return,\nHe will furnish the company or detachment commander with a memorandum\nreceipt credit slip listing the articles dropped and showing the name of the\nenlisted man.\nOn arrival of the enlisted man at his destination the new company or de-\ntachment commander will prepare and sign invoices in duplicate on Form No.\n600, A. G. O., of the articles, except clothing and individual mess equipment,\nappearing on the man's individual equipment record, a separate set being pre-\npared for each supply department concerned. The invoices will give the en-\nlisted man's name, his company or detachment, and the station from which he\nwas transferred or detached. The duplicate invoices will constitute the vouchers\non which the new accountable officer will take up on his return the articles\nenumerated. The accountable officer will forward, immediately in the case of\nordnance equipment and with the return in other cases, one copy to the chief\nof the bureau to which the property pertains, keeping the other for file with\nthe retained copy of his return. He will furnish the company commander with\na memorandum receipt debit slip listing the articles taken up and showing the\nname of the enlisted man. All articles missing on arrival will be charged\nagainst the enlisted man in the usual manner.\nWhen enlisted men are transferred in detachments, company or detachment\ncommanders will prepare duplicate receipts on Form No. 600, A. G. O., which\nwill be completed and disposed of as prescribed in the case of an individual\nenlisted man, but all articles, including those for which the men are indi-\nvidually indebted to the United States, may be entered on a single set of forms,\none set for each supply department concerned. The memorandum receipt credit\nslips may be similarly consolidated. Upon arrival of a detachment of enlisted\nmen at their destination the new commanders of the companies or detachments\nto which the men are assigned will prepare duplicate invoices on Form No. 600,\nA. G. O., which will be completed and disposed of as prescribed in the case of\nan individual enlisted man. Both vouchers and memorandum receipt debit\nslips may be consolidated as above. (C. A.
