Dear Ethel:
Your letter of April 28th and the suggested one to
Life Magazine just now came to the top of the pile. If
I had found it at home, I would have come across the
street to talk to you about it.
If you want my honest opinion, I think it would be
best not to write them at all. It is a terribly mean
outfit, and it would be like them to print your letter
along with several vicious comments.
That is my view on the thing, and I have no in-
tention of telling you what to do. If it is at all
possible between now and Tuesday morning, I'll see you
to discuss it further. I am returning the letter you
enclosed.
