Searles - Interior COL PATTERSON (AAF) Briefed Cabinet on Korea. ACHESON Poland yesterday closed last information office behind the Iron Curtain. We have retaliated by closing down the Polish Information Office in New York. We have had a bad time with the Philippines on Japanese Peace Treaty but it is working out OK. V.,P. Senate has not done much this week. House voted military approp- riation bill in good shape. THE PRESIDENT Inflation is on the march again. By next March we will be back to the peak of prices and cost of living. TOBIN The controls bill is impossible to administer. WILSON Industry is going to demand price increases and because of Capehart amendment to control bill we will have to grant the increases.
