Enclosed is a copy of a personal letter written by
major
General Hawley to the Secretary of the Council on
Medical Service, American Medical Association, which
I have received permission to forward to you. I think
this letter beautifully states General Hawley's atti-
X 8-F
tude towards medical service.
Personally, I agree with him 100 percent. If anyone
has put it more clearly and more forcefully, I haven't
seen his contribution.
This, to me, is real Hawley.
