My dear Dr. Hamer:
The President asks me to acknowledge
your letter of September third and to tell you
how much he appreciates the expression of ap-
proval which it conveys. It certainly was
thoughtful of you to write him.
The President has also requested me to
thank you for your kindness in sending him a
copy of your verses dedicated to the late Babe
(216-H -
