dit CORLETTE, Lawrence B. 596-A Editor, Plainville Ramez News, Plainville, Connectiout November 16, 1947 Wrote to the President saying the Negro people of America are fast uniting behind him in all his policies, both domestic and foreign. Writes, "I, as a Negro, can tell you that the report of your Civil Rights Committee has done nore to better our way of life than any other recent act." Promises that his small-town newspaper, "Remex News" will support him in 1948. ---On Nov. 24, 1947 the President wrote to Nr. Corlette saying the widespread approval given the work of the Civil Rights Committee has been most gratifying. SEE - PPF 3515
