Personally and on behalf of the citrus industry I want
to express our appreciation to you for work done in
connection with the Mexican labor program. I also wish
to express my thanks for the release dated July 13.
Please be assured that we want to work closely with you
and the President in developing a program which will be
sound and beneficial to both countries. We also want to
reassure you that it is our purpose to employ whenever
and wherever available local labor.
For your information I have been asked to serve on the
Labor-Management Committee in this area by Secretary
Tobin. We are having our first meeting in San Francisco
Wednesday, July 25.
