Memorandum to the President advising that an International Wheat Conference W ill
be convened by the Government of the United Kingdom in London on March 18, 1947, for the
purpose of negotiating an international wheat agreement. Invitations have been sent by
the British Government to countries which are members of the United Nations, to such other
countries as are members of the Food and Agriculture Organization and to these two organi-
zations themselves. Attaches a list of a proposed United States Delegation with
Mr. Leslie A. Wheeler, Director of Foreign Agricultural Relations, Department of Agricul-
ture as Chairman of Delegation.---Approved by the President March 7, 1947.
