Dear Paul:
I appreciated very much your letter of the
sixth in regard to the Palestine situation.

It isn't possible for me to make a statement
at this stage. The Jews are doing everything

they possibly can to upset the applecart just
as they did before when we had the thing almost
settled.
I would suggest that you advise them to keep

still - they will be in a lot better position
under those circumstances,
