President Harry S. Truman
The White House
Washington, D. C.
Dear Mr. Truman:
Re: Steel Strike Settlement
Secretary of Defense Lovett compared the impact of the steel strike
on the nation's defense production program to a devastating attack
by enemy bombers, this is the same force on impact of the enemy here
in our own land that I have been "squaking" about for some time as
you probably already know. In grave tones, Lovett had this to say
about the impact of the strike on the mobilization pro gram:
Washington AP July 23 -"No enemy action, no form of bombing,
could have taken out of production in one day 380 steel plants
and kept them out nearly two months. It is tragic that we
have done this to ourselves. Whether it is murder committed
by someone else or suicide by ourselves, the effect is the same"
.
Only we would carry the issue much farther than Secretary of Defense
Lovett. This statement by Lovett should be enough to convict the
six sitting on the United States Supreme Court for treason to the
people of the United States. These six will draw fire right down
out of the skies if I know anything about world conditions, and our
knowledge is just a spark.
We place our fingers on these six of the United States Supreme Court
for the simple reason they do not read, they can not define or care
about anything that is moral or just. They want just the opposite
as they are getting today.
Yours very truly,
bhas F. Eaton
