The resolution adopted by the veterans 4190-A
of the 442 Combat Team, 100 Infantry Battalion,
Military Intelligence Service, and 1399 Engineers
and signed by Sakae Takahashi, George K., Hironaka,
Tetsuo*Ozaki and yourself has been received. The
President appreciates your courtesy in making
this expression of views available to him and
asks me to send you the enclosed copy of his
letter to Senator O'Mahoney with reference to
legislation granting statehood to Alaska and
Hawaii.
